I am a youth leader, development practitioner, and advocate for inclusive economic development, with a strong focus on youth empowerment, cross-border trade, agribusiness, policy, and climate resilience in Northern Kenya and Africa.
My work is driven by a commitment to creating opportunities for young people and marginalized communities to participate meaningfully in economic and social development. I have engaged in initiatives related to AfCFTA, trade facilitation, cross-border trade, supply chains, youth leadership, climate action, and community development. Through my work with communities, I support young people and households to strengthen their livelihoods, develop entrepreneurship skills, improve financial resilience, and connect with opportunities.
I am particularly passionate about transforming the challenges facing communities in border and marginalized areas into opportunities. I advocate for stronger regional trade, better access to markets, digital solutions, inclusive policies, and greater participation of youth and women in economic development.
I believe I deserve this award because my work is not only about personal achievement—it is about creating practical impact and amplifying the voices of communities that are often underrepresented in decision-making. I continue to use my experience, networks, and leadership to inspire other young people to take initiative, participate in policy processes, pursue entrepreneurship, and contribute to sustainable development.
Winning this award would recognize the importance of grassroots leadership and demonstrate that meaningful change can emerge from communities far from major cities and institutions. It would also motivate me to expand my work and create even greater opportunities for young people across Northern Kenya and Africa.
